\nsubmit motions to the President of NOJ to prepare proposals on

NJC was created by Act CLXI of 2011 on the organisation and administration of courts(Court Organisation Act). It monitors the central management of courts while it also has its own management tasks. More details about our activities can be found under a separate menu item.<\/p>\n
NJC operates as a board consisting of 15 judges. The President of the Curia is automatically a memberdue to his\/her position, while the other 14 members are elected by the judges themselves for 6 years by a secret ballot where the judges vote through delegates. The NJC shall have a quorum if at least two-thirds of its members are present.<\/p>\n
NJC held its first meeting on 24 March 2012, while its solemn last meeting was held on 8 January 2018. The first elected NJC operated until January 2018, on 15 January the 130 delegates elected by the judges according to a geographicalvotingsystem elected theirnew members and deputymembers. The newly elected NJC started to operate on 30 January 2018. Currently, NJC operates with a reduced number of staff, with 11 members. Due to the resignation of several members and deputymembers a new election is necessary, the date of
\nthe new election shall be set by the President of NOJ. Following the election, NJC will operate again with 15 members.<\/p>\n
The position of the President of NJC shall be rotated biannually among the members on the basis of their service period, starting with the one with the longest service period. The current President of NJC is dr. S\u00e1ndor Szab\u00f3, head of unit of the Szombathely Regional Court, the vice-president is dr. Judit Fatalin, judge at the Budapest Capital Regional Court of Appeal.<\/p>\n
Meetings of NJC shall be attended by the Minister of Justice, the Prosecutor General, the President of the Hungarian Bar Association, the President of the Hungarian Chamber of Notaries Public and the President of NOJ in a consultative capacity, making NJC meetings an important platform of the cooperation oflegal professions.<\/p>\n
The NJC Bureau, led by the head of office elected by NJC members for 2 years from among themselves,shall be responsible for any administrative tasks in between NJC meetings.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
